"A File All Your Own - File For Results"
Well-managed special finance departments maintain a separate filing cabinet for all completed deals. This set of files is in addition to the ones maintained by the accounting office. The purpose of this process is as follows:
1. When lenders need stipps you never have to call the customer back in or search the accounting office because a complete set of copies are maintained on each deal in the "file cabinet". Result … quicker funding!
2.Use this file for later prospecting, refer to previous article "dialing for dollars", this allows the special finance department to control their own destiny by building a complete database for future business.
3. Have telemarketing staff or sales staff call all references for future business, offer to make a customers payment once they have referred a certain number of customers who actually purchase. Special Finance customers respond to this very well.
4. When lenders checks are received place a copy in customer file in order to document the correct amount has been paid.
As opposed to having a "catch all" filing cabinet for personal stuff and lender contracts, turn your filing cabinet into a resource for quicker funding and future business.
